Apollo Bay is known for its world class seafood. One of our local recommendations is The Fisherman’s Co-Op where you can sample fresh fish and chips while looking out over the harbour, bay and rolling hills.
TAKE A HIKE
Grab your trainers and head out on the Great Ocean Walk. Extending East to West, the Great Ocean Walk is a long distance trail which is just over 100kms between Apollo Bay and the iconic Twelve Apostles. The walk also overlooks the Marine National Park which offers access to deserted beaches and shipwreck sites.
SPOT THE WILDLIFE
Can you really say you've been to Australia if you haven't seen a koala? These cute guys hang out in the trees right by the hostel. Home to a variety of wildlife, you can also find wallabies, kangaroos and more here in Apollo Bay. There’s also a tonne of marine life in the area, with Southern Right whales normally being found between May and September each year.

Have a blast kayaking and get up close and personal with our Aussie fur seals. Paddle out to the Seal Colony, take in the views of the coast’s beautiful hills and reefs from the ocean and get back to nature. By the way you're in luck again as these tours are conducted by our sister business as well. Give us a call so that we can make sure you get the discount on these tours as well!!!
